How to count items on a plan

Use the Count tool to tally doors, light fittings, switches and power outlets or any symbol on a plan. Click each item once and a marker drops on it, so you can see what you have counted. Keep separate groups for different items.
Step by step
- 1Choose Count in the tool list.
- 2Click each item on the plan once. A marker is left on every item you count.
- 3Watch the running total as you go.
- 4Keep each kind of item in its own group, for example light fittings in one and power outlets in another.
Tips
- Markers show what is done, so you will not count the same symbol twice.
- Clear a marker that landed in the wrong spot and the total updates.
- Use layers to keep each item type separate.
