How do I share a plan?

Once you have measured and marked up the plan, share the project with your client, team, or subcontractor's MetreMate account. It lands in their Shared with me list, and they see the real plan, not a screenshot.

Do recipients need an account to view it?

Yes. The person you share with signs in with a MetreMate account, and the project then shows up in their Shared with me list.

Will they see my measurements and notes?

Yes. Share sends the marked-up plan, so recipients see your measurements and annotations, not a blank drawing.

Is this better than emailing a PDF?

For most jobs, yes. A share avoids file-size limits and zipped attachments, and shows the plan with your mark-ups instead of a flattened screenshot.

Is sharing on the free plan?

Yes. Project sharing is on every plan, including Free, so you can send a measured plan to a client or subcontractor from day one.

Can I tell if they have looked at it?

Yes. Each project shows how many times its share has been viewed, and on their side the Shared with me list can be filtered by unread and viewed.

Where does a shared project show up for the other person?

In the Shared with me section of their MetreMate account, which lists every project others have shared with them in one place.

Can I share the same plan with more than one person?

Yes. Share it with your client, your team, and your subcontractors, as long as each has a MetreMate account, and they all see the same marked-up plan, so scope and pricing chats happen off one shared picture rather than a string of screenshots.
