How to draw lines on a plan

Use the Line tool to draw straight lines on the plan, for set-out lines, arrows to a detail or anything you want to point out. Line Style in the toolbar sets the thickness, colour and whether the line is solid or dashed.
Step by step
- 1Choose Line in the tool list.
- 2Click where the line starts, then where it ends.
- 3With the line selected, open Line Style in the toolbar.
- 4Pick a line thickness, solid or dashed, and a colour.
Tips
- Hold Shift while you draw to keep the line level, plumb or at 45 degrees.
- Line thickness runs from 0.5 px for fine lines up to 12 px for bold ones.
- Recent colours sit at the top of the colour list, so you can match lines quickly.
