How to measure a curve with the Arc tool

1 min read Updated

Use the Arc tool for curved edges like a curved wall, a sweeping drive or a pool edge. Draw a line between the two ends of the curve, then click again to bend it onto the printed curve. MetreMate gives the length along the curve, not the straight line.

Step by step

  1. 1Make sure the sheet is scaled.
  2. 2Choose Arc in the tool list.
  3. 3Click one end of the curve, then the other end.
  4. 4Move the mouse to bow the line onto the curve on the plan, then click again to set it.
  5. 5Read the measurement on the plan.

Tips

  • For a straight length use Measure, and for a run with several straight sides use Perimeter.
