Getting started with MetreMate

MetreMate runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to install. Create a free account, start a project, upload a PDF plan, set its scale, and you can measure lengths, areas and counts straight off the drawing.
Step by step
- 1Sign up for a free account. No credit card is needed to start.
- 2From your Dashboard, choose New Project in the quick actions and give the job a name.
- 3Add your PDF plan to the project and open it in the editor.
- 4Set the scale of the sheet so every measurement reads true. See how to set the scale.
- 5Pick a tool from the tool list on the left, such as Measure, Area or Count, and start clicking on the plan.
- 6When you are done, print, export or share the marked-up plan.
Tips
- Check the scale against a dimension you already know before you price anything off the plan.
- Use layers to keep each room, trade or stage separate as the plan fills up.
- MetreMate runs in any modern browser on a Windows or Mac computer. Tablet support is coming soon.
