What Square Takeoff is genuinely great at
Square Takeoff gives a small contractor takeoff and estimating in one cloud tool, with unlimited jobs and unlimited storage on every billing term. It includes blueprint overlay, roof measurement tools, a material parts catalog, bid organization and reports, and there is no contract on the month-to-month plan. It lists a phone number on its pricing page. If you want quantities and the estimate in the same place, that bundle is the reason to pick it.
Where MetreMate fits
MetreMate is the lighter option. It measures lengths, areas, perimeters, counts, angles and arcs on a PDF plan and stops there. You can start on the free plan, and paid plans can be billed month to month. If you already have a way to price the job and only need accurate quantities, you may not need a bundled estimating tool.
