How to organize mark-ups with layers
1 min read Updated
Layers keep a busy plan organized. Every mark-up sits on a layer, with its measurement next to it. You can rename mark-ups, drag them between layers, and hide or show a layer to focus on one part of the job. Hiding a layer never deletes anything.
Step by step
- 1Open Layers on the right of the toolbar.
- 2Create layers for the rooms, trades or stages you are working on.
- 3Drag a mark-up or group onto a layer to move it there.
- 4Click a mark-up's name to rename it, for example Bed 1.
- 5Use the eye icon to hide or show a layer or a single mark-up.
Tips
- Each mark-up's measurement shows in the layers panel, so you can review quantities without hunting on the plan.
- Hide a layer before you export to leave its mark-ups off the plan.
